68. Daughter, Are You Having Fun?
In this world, apart from gods, there are no perfect beings.
Even the dragons, the mightiest of all races, have their undeniable weaknesses, and so do the undead.
On the surface, the undead, a unique existence, know neither fatigue nor pain, and can continue to fight even when injured, capable of resurrection after death.
However, thanks to Xia Lulu's reminder, Xia Yi is now clear in her heart that she holds a trump card, enough to deter the Storm King.
The Storm King ignored Xia Lulu and looked directly at Xia Yi. Beneath that vague and eerie visage, a crimson light flickered, exuding a blatant murderous intent.
"Finally, I ask you, can you, cooperate, hand over, the remains."
"Scram."
Xia Yi used just one word to make her stance clear.
There was never anything to discuss in this matter.
The dragons let out a thunderous roar, excited and agitated upon seeing their queen's stance, ready for battle, prepared to slay all the invaders.
"My king, please make a decision," Sigma urged the Storm King, "We absolutely cannot let an unknown enemy rise like this, it will hinder the future of the whole world!"
The Storm King had no intention of negotiating any further. After all, the Dragon Queen's attitude had said it all, and he was ready to force the dragons to accept his terms of cooperation.
His domain spread around him, stirring up gusts of cold wind, and the undead army crawled out from the mist, writhing and manifesting on the ground.
"I, in my life, am second to none, not even, the Silver Dragon Queen!"
The black mist surged like a tsunami, and the filthy undead rushed towards the silver-haired loli on the throne.
Xia Yi remained calm, raising her hand to reveal the imprint of the Holy Sword on the back of her hand, silently invoking—
Holy Sword! Gram!
A dazzling light burst forth, piercing the black mist, dispelling the darkness. In the face of the sun-like brilliance, the undead were burned, wailing in agony, being forced back, only able to shrink beside the Storm King, emitting fearful growls.
Seeing this light, Sigma was stunned on the spot, his fighting spirit fading, and he retreated unconsciously, muttering in disbelief, "…A Sword Saint?"
Dalex stared at the light of the Holy Sword, equally astonished.
Xia Yi picked up the Holy Sword, slowly rose from her throne, and looked down upon the undead.
"What, never seen a Holy Sword before?"
"Impossible, absolutely impossible!!" Sigma roared in confusion, "The Holy Sword only recognizes the souls of humans, only humans can become Sword Saints! You are a dragon, it's absolutely impossible for you to use the Holy Sword! What… what trick did you use?!"
Seeing this, Xia Lulu couldn't help but tease, "Oh Storm King, in the past you tried to devour a human kingdom, but a Sword Saint was born within that kingdom. He burned his life to awaken the Holy Sword, blocking your undead army for a day, giving humans a chance to escape. It seems even a storm can be blocked."
"…"
Dalex remained silent.
Humans can't compare to the higher races in terms of limits, but there have been special cases in human history where, using the Holy Sword, they've broken through human limits and contended with powerful higher races.
The undead, naturally fearful of the light emitted by the Holy Sword, were baffled. How could the Holy Sword, which only recognizes the souls of humans, be wielded by a dragon?
This was utterly illogical. The dragons, already formidable as the strongest of races with exceptional talents in all aspects, now had control over the Holy Sword…
"My king, perhaps caution is in order," Sigma suggested, sensing a real threat. "Engaging in battle with the current Silver Dragon Queen, who is already a supreme force among dragons and now seemingly bolstered by the Holy Sword, is far too disadvantageous for us."
"The Holy Sword, genuine, and true," Dalex spoke with grave seriousness.
Unbeknownst to them, the Sword Saint they now feared was not the Silver Dragon Queen, but Xia Yi herself.
Due to the lack of information, the undead had been thoroughly bluffed.
They truly believed it was Xia Lulu, the Silver Dragon Queen, wielding the Holy Sword. How could they even consider fighting?
Checkmate!
Xia Yi watched as the Storm King, who had been ready to unleash his fury, now stood before her, too frightened to make a move, a far cry from his earlier arrogance.
What a thrill, what a grand act she had put on!
Dalex had already left the dragon territory, heading in another direction without looking back, and an international crisis was thus averted.
In the process, the dragons' international standing had risen, stepping over the undead.
The dragons expressed their respect and admiration for her, which made Xia Yi a bit embarrassed. The praise and flattery were too much, and she eventually had to ask the dragons to leave her to cool down.
The outcome was perfect.
She hadn't revealed her true identity in front of the dragons, and she had resolved an international crisis, preventing a war between the two races, thus avoiding becoming the eternal pariah of the dragon race…
"Wait, am I forgetting something?"
Xia Yi sensed something amiss, as if she had forgotten something very important. What was it?
"I remember, I was supposed to go to the library to find…"
"To the library, to find what?"
"Ah!?"
Xia Yi heard a familiar voice and was so startled she fell from her throne.
A silver-haired loli dragon emerged from the shadows behind the throne, smiling as she watched Xia Yi.
"My daughter, are you having fun impersonating me?"
