12. I Have A Firm Belief And I Will Never Surrender
Xia Yi hurriedly pulled out a set of clothes from the wardrobe and changed into them.
Although she didn't particularly want to wear girls' clothes, she knew it would be strange to challenge the Dragon Queen in her pajamas. Besides, women's clothes were genuinely comfortable, especially stockings. Once you've experienced them once, you'd fall in love with the feeling - light and breezy. She would never want to go back to wearing the inhumane men's clothes…
"Wait, what am I thinking about! I'm not enjoying this, I'm just left with no other choice!"
Xia Yi argued with herself while pulling up her over-the-knee white stockings, aligning them perfectly on her thighs.
Looking at herself in the mirror, she wore a light-colored high-waist outfit that accentuated her petite figure. The transparency of her over-the-knee white stockings made her fair skin seem even more enticing. Coupled with her silver hair and petite figure, she looked dreamily beautiful.
Although she did look adorable, how could Xia Yi accept this so easily?
She was determined not to give in!
"Holy Sword Gram!"
Once again, Xia Yi summoned the holy sword to steady her mind.
Thinking back, she was a Sword Saint who had challenged many strong opponents. Her mastery in swordsmanship had reached its peak. She had never given up in the face of death or terrifying enemies. Even today, despite her predicament, she must not forget her true self.
"Mind as clear as a still pond…"
Xia Yi closed her eyes, allowing her mental state to calm down, just like a tranquil lake.
After a while, she finally adjusted and regained control over her emotions.
"Alright! I'm going to settle the score with Xia Lulu!"
With that, she opened the door, ready to storm into the royal garden, but bumped into someone, her face filled with a soft, fragrant sensation.
"Ouch!"
"Princess, I apologize."
A member of the royal female group quickly helped Xia Yi up and apologized.
At first, Xia Yi thought the red-haired maid was Sera. She was about to call out her name when she noticed the maid's expression was too cold, clearly different from Sera's.
Xia Yi remembered her. Although they hadn't met many times, she had some impression of her. She was Sera's sister - Lucia.
She's so big!
Although she was used to Sera's size, seeing Lucia made Xia Yi feel a strong sense of oppression due to her petite figure.
A sour feeling emerged in Xia Yi's heart. Damn, she was a bit jealous…
No, no! Why am I jealous of this, it has nothing to do with me!
Xia Yi shook her head.
"Princess, it seems you haven't had breakfast yet?" Lucia said, "I prepared it for you today. Breakfast is ready. I came to inform you."
"No need! I have more important things to do right now. Eating can wait!"
"Princess, you are in a period of growth. Please don't be willful." Lucia reminded her emotionlessly.
"I said I'm not hungry--"
Gurgle.
Xia Yi's stomach grumbled.
Lucia didn't say anything more. Silence was golden.
Xia Yi was too embarrassed to keep denying it.
The Dragon Clan was a powerful race that required a lot of energy for their daily activities, especially when it came to eating. They were all foodies, without exception, including Xia Yi. If she didn't eat enough in a day, she would feel extremely uncomfortable.
Thinking about it, how was she supposed to defeat Xia Lulu if she was hungry and weak?
She decided to endure it for now!
Xia Yi didn't speak, her eyes flickering, clearly letting Lucia give her an out.
Thankfully, it was Lucia and not Sera. If Sera saw her little princess like this, she would definitely tease her.
"Please follow me, Princess." Lucia took Xia Yi's hand.
"Okay…"
…
"Princess, I wonder if these dishes suit your taste?" Lucia stood formally by Xia Yi's side.
"Yes, they're very good."
Xia Yi cut the meat with a silver knife, the size was just right. She then used a fork to bring the meat to her mouth. Even the degree to which she opened her lips was carefully calculated. Her movements were elegant, and her etiquette was impeccable.
"Lucia's cooking skills are really outstanding. Compared to Sera, it has a different flavor."
"Princess, you flatter me," Lucia responded gratefully, "As long as you like it, receiving your praise is my greatest honor."
"Speaking of which, I haven't seen Lucia very often before."
"Yes, because I've been helping the Queen with some tasks."
"Oh, what kind of tasks?"
"You can ask the Queen. If she allows it, she should tell you." Lucia's answer was watertight.
Xia Yi had hoped to pry some information from Lucia, to understand Xia Lulu's weaknesses and target her. Unfortunately, it seemed that wouldn't be possible.
Xia Yi felt regretful.
"…"
"Hmm?"
Xia Yi noticed that Lucia had been staring at her.
"I'm very sorry, Princess, it was rude of me," Lucia said, "I haven't seen you often, so I wanted to know more about you. Today, seeing your perfect etiquette, I couldn't help but be fascinated."
"Of course!" Xia Yi was very proud, "I trained for a long time to perfect these etiquettes, even my mother has approved of me!"
"You truly are the Silver Dragon Princess. Your excellence is even greater than what Sera has told me." Lucia praised.
"Uh…"
Xia Yi's smile suddenly froze. Was it really something to be happy about that she had been raised this way?
How sad!
"I'm not happy at all!"
Xia Yi left these words behind and ran off, but remembering that she hadn't wiped her mouth yet and that it would be rude if her mother saw her like this, she chose to obediently return, clean herself up, and then leave the dining room.
…
In the Dragon Clan's royal palace, within the garden.
The morning sun shone on the garden, causing the colorful flowers to bloom, filling the garden with a captivating fragrance. Birds were singing, and small animals gathered around Xia Yi when they saw her.
"Meow meow meow!"
A kitten rubbed against Xia Yi's leg as soon as it saw her.
In addition to the kitten, there were also rabbits and squirrels…
These were all pets kept in the garden.
Xia Yi was one of their caretakers.
"Hold on, I'm doing something very important right now!"
"Meow~"
"I'll come play with you guys after I've dealt with these things." Xia Yi petted the kitten a couple of times before letting it go.
Although she was a bit reluctant, she still had important things to do!
The Dragon Clan's loli headed deeper into the garden and found her target.
Xia Lulu was sitting alone on a chair, wearing glasses and reading a book. Two white birds were perched on her shoulder, quietly resting. The scene was very peaceful. It was hard to connect this peaceful image with the domineering one she usually portrayed. Now she looked like a harmless literary girl.
"Don't be fooled by her appearance! This time, I won't let her continue as she pleases. I need to seize the initiative!"
Xia Yi was ready and approached.
The two white birds seemed to sense Xia Yi's aura and flew away.
Xia Lulu looked up and smiled, "Xia Yi, you missed me so soon?"
"Xia Lulu, I challenge you!" Xia Yi pointed at Xia Lulu with a fighting spirit, "Let's duel!"
Ah yes, still needs to eat and go back for the etiquette XD
ReplyDeleteReminds me of that video where a guy yelled at the wife about being the boss of the household before walking over to do the dishes then stuttering
