11. I Certainly Won't Fall!

The Silver Dragon Queen, Xia Lulu·Christie.

She was a rare descendant of the Silver Dragon clan among the dragon race, possessing an undeniable royal lineage, and ruled as the Dragon Queen.

She was the instigator who caused the human Sword Saint Wright to fall into the dragon race.

Although, challenging the dragon race was a foolish act to begin with, disregarding the facts, even if the human Sword Saint was 99% at fault, didn't the Silver Dragon Queen have 1% of the blame?

This wicked woman had turned me into a little female dragon for her amusement!

Was there no law? Was there no justice?

Thinking of this, Xia Yi became angry.

"Sera, you may leave. It seems my dear daughter is not in a good mood right now," Xia Lulu said.

"As you wish, Your Majesty."

As Sera left, she gave Xia Yi a proud wink, looking particularly pleased with herself.

This left Xia Yi speechless. She least wanted to see this person right now, and yet Sera had taken it upon herself to bring her nemesis…

Well, it was just as well. It was time to settle scores with Xia Lulu.

After the royal maid left Xia Yi's bedroom and closed the door, only Xia Lulu and Xia Yi, mother and daughter, were left.

"Xia Yi, I heard from Sera that you were crying for some reason when you woke up this morning."

Xia Lulu was now dressed in casual clothes, she must have had a free day today, not needing to work, and so she didn't have her usual air of authority.

A white shirt, a high-waisted black skirt, over-the-knee black stockings, her silver hair tied up with a bunch of bows, her pigtails draped over her shoulders made her look particularly cute, like a girl of Xia Yi's age, in the prime of her youth—

As if.

Xia Yi knew that Xia Lulu was at least a few hundred years old, she couldn't be fooled by her appearance.

"Xia Yi, you've been staring at me, do I look strange?" Xia Lulu asked, somewhat puzzled.

"No, I think you look very beautiful, Mother. I really like this style—uh!"

Xia Yi quickly covered her mouth.

Damn it, she had instinctively spoken her mind…

No, that wasn't what she meant at all. How could she possibly compliment the wicked dragon who had turned her into a dragon?!

She needed to pull herself together. She couldn't act cute like she usually did here!

Xia Yi clenched her little fist, mentally cheering herself on, adjusting her breathing, and after a while, she said, "Enough!! Xia Lulu, I'm tired of this boring game. Change me back now, or I'll show you what I'm capable of!!"

"…"

Xia Lulu was taken aback by Xia Yi's words, she blinked thoughtfully.

Xia Yi started laughing, she had succeeded, she had finally put this woman in her place. Her momentum was excellent, she should keep negotiating like this…

"Xia Yi, as a princess of the dragon race, you should not speak in such a tone," Xia Lulu's expression became stern, "I don't remember raising you to be such a disrespectful daughter."

"Eh… ah? Is that so…"

Faced with Xia Lulu's oppressive gaze, Xia Yi suddenly felt guilty.

Indeed, she was a princess of the dragon race, inheriting the royal lineage, she must always maintain her elegance and dignity. Her outburst just now was indeed unbecoming!

The Silver Dragon Princess suddenly became submissive, shrinking her head and her little hands became restless.

"I'm sorry, Mother."

Xia Lulu sighed softly, walked over to Xia Yi, and sat down on the bed, asking with a hint of sadness, "Xia Yi, have you started to dislike me?"

"No, how could I possibly dislike you, Mother?" Xia Yi hurriedly clarified, "That's impossible!"

But then, she realized something was wrong…

Xia Lulu was supposed to be her enemy, she shouldn't have said that, should she?

The correct thing to do would be—

But Xia Lulu didn't give Xia Yi time to think further. She pulled her daughter into her arms, allowing her to snuggle against her.

Xia Yi could smell a faint fragrance and feel the warmth of her body. This overly familiar sense of security made her let down her guard.

"You're still so childish, Xia Yi. It seems you still like to act spoiled."

Xia Lulu brushed aside Xia Yi's silver bangs and left a light kiss on her forehead.

"Forget about the unhappy things. You are you, the princess of the dragon race, Xia Yi."

"…Okay."

Xia Yi's face turned bright red as she responded to Xia Lulu, a smile forming at the corners of her mouth.

"You're finally smiling, Xia Yi. This is when you're the cutest." Xia Lulu stroked Xia Yi's long silver hair.

"I'm not… happy because of this."

The tail of the little silver dragon princess swayed behind her, giving away her feelings.

"Xia Yi, I know yesterday's events tired you out, but without a doubt, you are my daughter who I've always been proud of, you can be assured of that," Xia Lulu stood up, "I'll be in the palace garden all day today, if Xia Yi misses me, she can come find me anytime."

"Okay, Mother…"

Xia Yi obediently nodded her head.

Seeing her daughter's mood finally improving, Xia Lulu also felt relieved. After saying goodbye to Xia Yi, she left the room.

It was a while after Xia Lulu had left that Xia Yi, still touching her forehead, began to giggle.

Hehe… Mother praised me, I'm so happy!

In the room alone, Xia Yi's laughter gradually faded, her expression becoming serious.

"Damn it!! What was that woman thinking just now, treating me like a dumb loli!!"

Xia Yi suddenly stood up, looking at her reflection in the mirror, fuming.

How could she have been led by the nose from start to finish?

"No, I am a determined swordsman, I can't keep going on like this, or I'll truly fall into the dragon race!! Holy Sword! Gram!!"

The silver-haired little girl raised her hand, calling out to her sword. The mark of the holy sword lit up on her hand, and a shining holy sword appeared in her grasp.

"Uh… it's a bit heavy!"

Xia Yi held the holy sword with both hands. It was originally used as a one-handed sword, but due to her current height of less than 1.5 meters and her small body, she could only use it as a two-handed sword.

But that didn't matter!

With her own holy sword in hand, Xia Yi's mind cooled down, and it seemed like she had regained some of her past feelings. She could swear that she would never succumb to the dragon race's mentality that Xia Lulu had cultivated in her.

The silver-haired little girl's eyes were filled with determination and fighting spirit.

"Silver Dragon Queen, Xia Lulu·Christie… you dare to look down on me, I will repay all these humiliations!!"

  1. And it begins! The rebellious phase. This story sorta reminds me a bit of Knight who became a vampire princess. Though coming from a more wholesome angle.
