25. I Found It

In front of Xia Yi, there was a small dragon.

This was not an ordinary dragon. This dragon had no flesh on its body, only a white skeleton remained. The deep, black eye sockets on its skull stared at Xia Yi, as if it wanted to suck her soul in.

Creak.

The small dragon skeleton's head twisted, making a creepy sound.

What the hell!

Xia Yi turned to run, but the small dragon skeleton spoke.

"Greetings, Princess! I am the librarian of the Dragon Clan Library, creak!"

Xia Yi was somewhat surprised. Was this voice really coming from this small bone dragon in front of her? Was it really the librarian of the Dragon Clan Library?

"What is your name?"

"Creak!" The small bone dragon raised its head and replied.

"I'm asking for your name."

"Creak!"

"Name, do you understand the concept of a name?"

Xia Yi really didn't understand what language the small bone dragon was using. It wasn't Dragon Language, nor was it Ancient Dragon Language, and it wasn't the common language of the continent either. It was like two meaningless, eerie cries.

"Creak!"

"Librarian, I'm asking for your name. Please be polite and don't just creak." Xia Yi frowned.

The small bone dragon said grievously, "Princess, my name is Creak."

"……"

The other party really silenced Xia Yi. After a while, she laughed awkwardly.

"Haha, what a unique name, Creak."

"Really? Thank you for the compliment, Princess. I'm very happy!" Creak was very proud, "I chose this name for myself!"

"Are you still alive? Creak."

"I'm dead, but not completely dead," Creak explained, "I should have been a prematurely deceased dragon. The other dragons used necromancy to turn me into an undead bone dragon."

Xia Yi noticed that there was a gem of extremely high purity on Creak's sternum. It should be carrying Creak's soul, allowing him to control his own bones and survive in this way.

It was indeed a state of being half-dead.

"I've heard a lot about you, Princess. I recently heard that you defeated your opponent in the royal trial and won. That's really amazing!"

"This is what I should do as a princess of the Dragon Clan. My mother was so outstanding in the past, how could I fall behind?"

"Princess, please allow me to pay my respects to you!"

Creak moved to Xia Yi's feet, his mouth wide open, like he was trying to suck her soul.

Xia Yi was puzzled by this inexplicable action, thinking it was some strange ritual.

"Creak, what are you doing?"

"I'm licking the princess!"

"Where did you get a tongue?"

"Oh, right, I'm an undead bone dragon, I don't have a tongue, haha!"

Creak laughed foolishly.

Xia Yi was speechless again.

After all, he was an undead bone dragon, and creatures of the undead series were more or less mentally abnormal. It was really too ridiculous.

But was it really okay for such a weird little guy to be the librarian of the Dragon Clan Library?

"Princess, are you here to borrow a book today?" Creak remembered his job.

"I don't have any classes this afternoon, so I thought I'd come to the library to browse and learn."

Xia Yi used the rhetoric she had thought of in advance.

She had to hide her plan as much as possible, not to be too obvious, and to dig out the secret of lifting the curse of the dragon race without anyone noticing "Creak, rumors have it that you like to slack off. It seems they are just rumors!"

Xia Yi couldn't keep a straight face, but she was too embarrassed to admit it, "After all, a predecessor of the Dragon Clan once said - a moment of leisure, a lifetime of regret."

Creak hopped onto the counter, flipped through for a while, and brought a pendant to Xia Yi.

"Princess, this is a pass! As long as you wear this pass, you can move freely in the library. If you need to find any books, you can come and ask me directly!"

"Thank you, Creak."

Xia Yi took it and put on the pendant.

The Dragon Clan Library was vast.

Xia Yi searched for a long time but couldn't find the book she wanted.

She came here in person today and found that the number of books in the Dragon Clan Library far exceeded her imagination.

In addition to the books written by the Dragon Clan itself, there were many books from other races, probably collected by the Dragon Clan to understand other races.

Out of curiosity, Xia Yi casually took a few books from the human race off the shelf. She just wanted to take a look, but she got hooked.

"To all the citizens of the Dragon Clan, I am the Dragon King Glen. Through the power of the Dragon King, I am speaking to all the children with the blood of the Dragon Clan. In the kingdom of the dragon, the violent factor sealed deep in the blood of all the Dragon Clan will be released. In order to protect the kingdom of the dragon and end the war with all the races in the world, we must take action now, even if it means destroying all life in the world—"

Thud.

A slight noise came from the bookshelf next to Xia Yi, bringing her thoughts back from the book to the real world.

She poked her head out and saw Creak dusting the bookshelf with a feather duster.

"I thought it was someone else… wait, how long have I been reading?!"

Xia Yi realized that she had wasted too much time.

The book she was reading was a distant past, written by a human based on the ancient war of all races.

But since that human didn't know the real history, it was filled with a lot of fictional content and hearsay, so it could be read as a novel.

"I got hooked without realizing it, I almost forgot about the important things. This author is really good at cliffhangers."

Xia Yi muttered, planning to refocus, but noticed a note written in the corner of that page—

Fake at a glance.

She was stunned.

Because the words "Fake at a glance" were not written in Dragon Language, but in human language. As a former human, she recognized it immediately.

"Creak!!" Xia Yi called out loudly.

"What's the matter, Princess?"

Creak ran over from the next bookshelf.

"Creak, help me check, has anyone borrowed this book?" Xia Yi pointed to the book in her hand.

"The one in your hand, Princess? Give me a moment."

Creak remembered the book number and ran back to the counter. It took him more than ten minutes to come back.

"Princess, almost no one has borrowed the book in your hand, because the history in it is too absurd, no dragon can stand to read it," Creak paused, "But a few tens of thousands of years ago, a dragon borrowed it… it seems to be a dragon named Monet."

Monet, the former human warrior who, due to the curse of the dragon race, was transformed into a dragon, had a similar fate to Xia Yi.

It was him!

"What's wrong, Princess?" Creak asked in confusion.

Suppressing her excitement, Xia Yi said, "Nothing, Creak, you can go back to your work."

"Oh, okay!"

Once Creak left, Xia Yi immediately found all the books in the series. Sure enough, all of them had notes left by Monet, including some special symbols.

When Xia Yi combined all the symbols, she found that they formed a hidden spell.

Monet used human language and human thinking to leave the decryption, so only humans could decipher it.

He intentionally left a way out for future humans who might share his fate!

After using the spell left by Monet, a small blue ghost appeared on the book and quickly floated away.

"It's guiding me!"

The young princess followed it. After circling around the Dragon Clan Library for a while, the little ghost finally stopped somewhere.

Xia Yi went up to take a look and jumped up excitedly.

"I found it, it's this one!"
