26. The Method To Revert Back

The book before her was emblazoned with several large characters - "Dragons, Blood and Curses".

Xia Yi picked it up for a closer inspection.

This book was compiled by the dragon race themselves, focusing mainly on their research into the curses of the dragon race.

Xia Yi didn't rush to read it. Instead, she held the book and ran to the original location of the bookshelf. Even if she was seen by Creak, he would mistakenly think that she had been reading a novel in the human book section all afternoon.

After all, borrowing this book directly would make her intentions too obvious. It would be better to decipher the key content and jot it down.

Even if the Silver Dragon Queen specifically asked Creak about her whereabouts, the only information she would get would be incorrect, thus concealing her real goal.

Xia Yi was impressed with her own attention to detail.

With this thought, Xia Yi felt as if she had everything under control, soaring in the stratosphere.

After mentally preparing herself, the little princess opened the book "Blood and Curses".

It detailed the curse of the dragon's blood.

"Could it really be… like this?" Xia Yi furrowed her brows.

As a superior race, the strength of the dragon race's bloodline was unquestionable. Many other races coveted the power of the dragon's bloodline, hoping to steal this powerful force. Throughout history, other races had tried various methods to combine their own race with the dragon race, hoping to give birth to a hybrid with the bloodline of a dragon.

But all these attempts ended in failure.

The blood of the dragon race had a strong invasive nature. It could erode the body and forcibly transform it into a body suitable for the dragon's bloodline.

The body strength of other races was often not enough to withstand the strength of the dragon's bloodline, and they would usually die as a result.

The curse of the dragon race was the amplification of their own emotions, such as anger, despair, hatred, and other emotions with strong fluctuations, to maximize the erosive power of the dragon's bloodline and cast the dragon's curse through their blood.

"That means, the dragon guard I defeated back then must have cursed me in this way."

Although her memory was somewhat blurry due to the pain at the time, she remembered that her hair seemed to have grown longer.

But under normal circumstances, she should have died from the dragon's curse. The body strength of the human race was not enough to support the dragon's bloodline.

Yet, she survived.

Was it because her will was stronger than that of ordinary people? Or did she have resistance to the curse?

This was indeed a mystery.

Xia Yi couldn't be sure.

"No wonder the Silver Dragon Queen said 'interesting'. I am indeed a special case. That's why Xia Lulu gave me a stronger Dragon King's curse than the average dragon, to see if I could survive. And the result…"

She did survive!

She temporarily lost her memory and was reborn as a dragon.

This was very consistent with the description of the curse in "Dragons, Blood and Curses". It transformed her original body into a body capable of carrying the dragon's bloodline, and so she was reborn as a dragon.

"But why did I become a dragon loli?! Monet didn't become a loli, he's still a male, just transformed from a man to a male dragon… Why did I become a female dragon?!"

Xia Yi grumbled discontentedly.

There couldn't really be anyone who would be happy about becoming a dragon loli, could there?

But at least she had figured out the reason for her transformation.

Now, Xia Yi was faced with a dilemma. If the dragon's blood was constantly transforming her body, then to revert back to her original form, she would have to suppress the erosion of the curse… Was there really a way to do this?

Monet had initially transformed from a human to a dragon, and then back to a human again. This meant that he must have found a way to suppress the curse.

This was the goal that Xia Yi needed to figure out. She had to find this clue.

"Let's see if there are any clues left by Monet…"

Xia Yi carefully flipped through the book, from the first page to the last.

In the process, she found markings left by magic on several pages.

Strangely, these markings were all meaningless. Neither human nor dragon language could decipher them. They seemed like the scribbles of a child.

"This is definitely not random. The markings are very intricate and have not changed even after tens of thousands of years. They must have been left intentionally. They are Monet's secret. I need to think more about this."

Xia Yi flipped through the markings. Her silver eyes stared at the book in her hand, and suddenly an idea flashed through her mind.

She quickly flipped through the book. On the rapidly turning pages, the positions of these markings seemed to be combining, clearly forming a simple magic circle.

Xia Yi quickly carved the magic circle onto the book.

"Open!"

A faint light flashed, like a key opening a secret box. A piece of paper floated out of the magic circle and then faded and disappeared.

It recorded Monet's notes, secret content that was deliberately left behind!

Xia Yi quickly tucked this piece of paper into her bosom, feeling her heart pounding rapidly.

After that, there was nothing much to say. After putting "Dragons, Blood and Curses" back in its place, Xia Yi hurriedly returned her pass to the front desk and left the library.

"Goodbye, Creak!" Xia Yi left without looking back.

Creak, who was lying on the front desk, shouted, "Why did Princess leave so suddenly? Wait, I haven't had a chance to chat with you about some interesting things…"

Back in the dragon palace, Xia Yi avoided the gaze of others and returned to her room.

"Sera, you're off today and tomorrow!" Xia Yi pointed at Sera and said.

"Princess, what are you talking about?" Sera looked at the little princess in confusion.

"Sera, I mean it literally. You can take the day off today."

"A day off?"

Sera was shocked.

"I said, Sera, you can take a break for these two days. Go and rest well! You don't need to take care of me!"

"Can the princess manage on her own?" Sera said worriedly, "Without me, the princess might starve to death…"

"What are you talking about! Don't treat me like a child!"

"But you are a child."

"I, I…"

Xia Yi was at a loss for words.

Including her past life, she was almost thirty. She wasn't young at all!

But she couldn't say that directly.

No matter what, she had to get rid of Sera.

"Sera, you've been taking care of me all year round, working diligently, and I'm very moved. But I think you need to have a holiday to enjoy some leisure time. Rest is a right everyone should have, even a royal maid. If you keep refusing, I'll feel guilty. If you don't rest, I'll go to my mother and make you take a mandatory break."

With a series of tactics, Xia Yi finally persuaded Sera to agree.

"…Alright, if it's the princess's command, then I have no choice but to obey." Sera nodded and left.

With Sera gone, Xia Yi was left alone.

She took out the piece of paper and began to read it carefully.

"Hooray, there's hope for me!"

The little princess was first stunned, then burst into joy. The paper indeed recorded the method to revert back to her original form!
